The Sea Palace is situated in the downtown of Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side of the island. We are conveniently located within walking distance to the islands best duty free shops, great restaurants, beach bars, and casinos. A very good bus or taxi service from Philipsburg can get you off to the French side or to one of the 36 beautiful beaches that the island has to offer.

All the units at Sea Palace are air-conditioned and have fully equipped kitchens. All the units have a view, either of great bay or Philipsburg. We have eight stories and are brightly painted, a permanent landmark!

Since we are a timeshare resort, check in is on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and check out time is the following Saturday at 10:00 a.m. If your flight arrangements do not coincide with check in, please notify us about your late arrival.

Inhabitants of this small, half-Dutch, half-French West Indian Island point proudly to more than 350 years of peaceful co-existence... an enviable record in a world too often torn by strife and dissension. St. Maarteners are fond of describing their 37-square mile island as "the smallest bit of real estate in the world shared by two countries"… and. They are quick to add, "probably the friendliest".

What all this means for visitors to St. Maarten is that the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, that two cultures can be savored without hassles or complications. Passing back and forth between the Dutch and French section, travelers encounter no immigration or customs officials. A single border monument, bearing the dates "1648-1948" and bracketed by a pair of flags, stands beside the road connecting Philipsburg and Marigot , the Dutch and French "capital villages". Cars may pause occasionally, to allow a herd of cows to amble across the road, but there’s never a halt for international formalities.
